Nice train theme. When I was a kid there was a train in city park in Launceston and you could climb all over it. It is now at Don River Railway. At Granton in the South there was another train which now lives at the Derwent Valley Railway in New Norfolk. In Glenorchy at the Transport Museum you can take a Steam Train ride on the first Sunday of the month, bookings essential, but it is only a short trip included in your $11 entry fee.
Perth and Deloraine are the only two static display trains in parks now, surrounded by fences, and the Margate Train that you can get into the cab.
