A quick map of the day....next time it'll be 10 Mile Rd. bypassing Scottdale, this time we needed to buy some take-away lunch and a fresh, left mirror for the AfricaTwin. :)

Tearing the rear-end out of the little Strom this arvo, it revealed the reason for the worrying clunking and rough shudder and crunching under acceleration over the last 2 days in Tassie....and the heart-in-mouth ride home from the ferry in the wet+dark last Sat night.

Rear wheel bearings, the inner one shot to pieces, the outer just getting us home...
add a badly worn front cog and lumpy chain and things were certainly headed for the shitter.
Fresh chain, cogs, bearings + seals + cush rubbers will make her just like new.

Well folks although I had to cage it this trip, I still had a ball with plenty of giggles along the way and a big shout out to Pete, Goodie and Eivind for making the trip such a hoot!!! At times on the trip Goodie chose to ride in the car with me while "Charley and Ewan" chose the off road option and all I remember hearing from them at end of their rides is best day ever!!! Goodie and I chatted as we went along in the car stopping for many photo ops. Goodie even managed a bit of souvenir gathering on Bruny Island!!! Also we managed to catch up with Robbie while we were staying near New Norfolk and great night with plenty of laughs etc had by all.
I have to thank Pete and Goodie for putting the trip on as yet again Tassie was a blast and although watching the guys scooting around those gorgeous roads while I was in the cage trying to catch them had me wishing I was on the bike but I still loved the trip and still hasn't dampened by love of the place and yes Pete I will be heading back down south hopefully in November as after watching you guys have so much fun and hopefully be aboard the King to let the big girl loose on those awesome roads.

It was a pleasure, mate!! Thanks for the laughs, the help, the easy going!
It'll be the bike next time for sure...but in the meantime, it's another "GOOD ONE in the bag":bow:

Some neat pics there, too

Man, you had awesome weather in the North East and up Mt Barrow. And you got down to the transmission towers, the boom gate is usually locked.... ;)

- and a waterfall! My attempt at demonstrating the advantages of a variable aperture in order to "freeze the water" on his camera was a complete and utter failure. So you'll have to settle for my mobile phone pic:

Plenty of beautiful beaches in Tassie, and no-one on them (water temperature might have been a factor:killingme)
