And you kept riding for another how many thousand km?

:killingme:so  Exactly!

Makes me cringe. Hail the times when insurance mobs used their own specific assessors (like Ronnie Scholls) who actually KNEW something about bikes.....not someone "guessing-assessing" anything from coastal freighters to industrial plants, cars to backyard bungalows. ..aargh!!

The assessor rang today. The Husky is a statutory writeoff. Its subframe is bent (or as he also put it, its wheels are pointing in different directions :( ) , as is everything else.

Isn't it the point that the front wheel is able to point in a different direction to the back? That's how we steer!!.....

Absolutely blown away by this ride report!! Holy Makarooley, what an effort and full cudos for overcoming pain and hardship. Showing great strength of character, coming away from this adventure with the collateral damage to bones and otherwise:lao.

Very very enjoyable read and pictures - THANK YOU!!:gday:

Long Timer
Cold wet rainy day sitting in the jason lamenting the lack of firewood and nursing some aching joints and a batch of conjuctivitis.

Then this thread brightens up my day.

What a story! Tales of mateship, adventure, and courage told between breathtaking photographs of God's own country.

Hats off. :gday:
