Headed off with Don... He's on the White KTM with the Orange Crash Bars.

Morninton peninsula to Longwarry BP for Fuel, the Noojee to Tanjil Bren.. Followed the South Face Road to Erica.

Stopped for Lunch at Rawson... Pie and Coffee.. not bad.

From Rawson, to Heyfield via a very bumpy Cowwarr Walhalla Road..

We came out on the Black Top about 20k from Heyfield..

A quick fuel stop then down to Licola.

Headed up the Tamboritha Road with one of the three huts in mind for an overnight stay.

We arrived a while later at Mc Michael's Hut only to find it full of 4WD dudes..

So on to Kelly's Hut..

Yes it's vacant.. Not any more... It's ours for the night.

Great views as the Sun set behind us..

We had a top night with a massive fire inside the hut... We kept the Giant Rats nice and warm.. that's for sure..

Little buggers eat my phone cover and glove... And Don's Ride Pants..

The next morning was a little damp, so we dragged out the Wet Weather Jacket.

We headed to Moroka Road then on to Castle Hill Track, then along Marathon road down to Briagolong... The Sun was out by then and it was a perfect day for riding.

We headed down to Strathford for Lunch and Fuel... Then back along Freestone Creek Road.. Man that road goes for ever and it's bloody narrow.


We arrived at Dargo around 3pm and stayed at Pam and Hermans B&B for the night... Great price, great meal..

Unfortunately, I had to be home for a Wedding on the Saturday, so I set the alarm for 5.30am and got on the bike without waking the few who were sleeping..

Had a top ride home arriving back on the Mornington Peninsula around 11am.

Freestone Creek Rd - definitely feels like it's circumnavigating the globe when you're towing a busted arse 4x4 out.. Have to plan everything in advance when you know you can't reverse!
