That cheese counter looks smaller than in a couple of the Italian delis around here,
probably a hell of a lot cheaper though.

That was only half of it, the other half is to the left.
And this was only the Dairy...selling their own product.
Walk down the road and cruise past another half-dozen of those counters within 300m,
selling the "wider area" and imported stuff.

So whats next ?
(other than NZ)
Eastern Europe , Ukraine , Russa , South America , Africa ?

First NZ!!

Sept/ Oct'10 3 weeks of Rockies/ Oregon and NorCal. From just above the Canadian border
through Glacier Nat. Park, south to ~ SanFran level, if there's enough time.
No main roads and plenty of dirt.

After that?
No FIRM idea yet....Mediterranean Island Hopping? (Sicily-Sardinia-Corsica)...one week each
with ferry rides to string it together.

Canary Islands? (part of Spain, off the north-African coast)
Chain of 7 islands, some quite sizeable, volcanic, good climate all year round

The always put-off Springbok tour? 4 weeks South Africa and Namibia, lots of dirt, mainly Nat. Parks)

Southern Spain and Algarve/ southern Portugal?....Sierra Nevada/ southern tablelands, possibly into Basque-country up the north.

Who knows, could all be pie-in-the-sky..

Jeezes Pete, when you gave me the link to your little trip, I didn't know I had to read through 57 pages of you guys having an absolute ball!!!
Took me 4 go's at it and many pictures brought back many memories for me. Truly amazing and thanks to each and every one on the T2 team, for the amazing footage and caring enough to share with the rest of us.

Cheers, ya clowns!

P.S. Link should come with a warning label: "may cause insomnia!"

What a fabulous ride report. I have just spent the last two days glued to the PC and just couldn’t drag myself away from it except to sleep. :wow:
Yes I’m back . After a forced absence I finally have access again. :so
Pete, as usuall your report is top notch and the photo’s by everyone are outstanding. :tu
Pete, you should have been a travel jouno.:bow::bow:
To all you guys on T2 I bet you still feel a bit weird being back in Oz after so much stimulation :so, and a few kg’s around the waist line . Except Goodie of course :wink:.
Guys if Fire and Ice is even 1/10th as exciting and visually stimulating as this was we’re in for a great time. :glu
See you all in Khancoban at the end of January.

the Grossglockner in Austria

Its was day 2 (I think) on the bike so was still getting use to it, so expect a few wrong gears and average lines

click up the youtube symbol to bring up in youtube and then you can go full screen

I called them my idiot stickers... for the idiot on the seat "keep right you idiot" was a mantra I said to myself lots (the other one said "<<<<< Overtake")

I actually never had to look at them to work out where I was, but because they where there and read/looked at quite often and keeping right was always in thought
