Last minute decision. Called up an old mate who has been keen for ages to ride his Rec Rego bike through Toolangi and Black range in a more Gentlemanly manner.
For me this was my first time through both on motorcycle (well excluding the postie bike) and so we stuck to the main dirt roads. I started from home in Mill Park and got a bit wet up through Kinglake as usual (photo below just before the rain started)

By the time I got to Sylvia Creek road, showers had gone and the tracks were nice and dry. The plan was to follow Sylvia Creek and Murrindindi down to the reserve for a quick cup of tea and then back through Falls Creek road to Black Range Road to Scrubby Creek for lunch. As Pas' bike has only rec rego we obviously had to stay within the state forests.
Quick stop to see condition of the Murrindini river up high...... Perfect - flowing a bit slow but will definitely hit it with the fly rod next weekend.

At the Murrindindi reserve campground we met a few campers who were also fellow motorcyclists and invited us to use their camp to make our morning tea.

A few few more pics of the rest of the trip. Including a s stop on the side of the road for lunch.

Ooops wrong turn (my bad)

Overall good day for me with 250 kms and another big clean job on the bike.
