[STICKY]My Pic Of The Day

Got out early for a short ride (150ks) over Whittlesea way to try out the new wind deflector I made for the warmer weather. Works ok, maybe cut a bit more off. Just in time for the cooler months 😞. Nice accident just before Pipeworks fun park. Traffic banked up for a K or so. I can imagine kids screaming "why aren't we moving" in 35 deg heat. Trickled to the front under the glare of a bike cop. Whatever. Home for lunch and cool off.

Still at it now....blaze slowly wandering south and east, towards The Basin and the places around Billanook College/ bottom slopes of Mt. Dandy.
Hopefully they'll get it under control before the weather change through the night.

It'll be little sleep tonight

Always, ALWAYS have cash, stashed at home, in the old wallet (which goes with us on trips), enough for each night in pub stays. I figure that each night next week, $100 on the bar, tell bar keep to take for room and meal, and let me know before I run out of beer money.

.... is when fronting up to the VicRoads' counter, being asked for ID, plastic licence is in wallet (with the cash) stashed away in the car in the carpark, I say that I've got my digital licence on my iPhone and then be advised, "Oh, we don't accept that".

That's irony, and the biggest Whiskey Tango Foxtrot of all time.
