What a bloody hoot of a "long weekend"

Melting in yer jox @ 35C,
Dingo Creek bites again
B52-sized Gippy mozzies
skidding through road-closures
mud-toxing $$$ BMW-riding gear
"time-out" @ Toora Jetty time
the Rolling Green Hills of Bliss
freezing gales and mugs of Hot Chocolate

Trying to rally all the bits and impressions...and there's your king sized mindfu%k.
3 days packing more bang than your average 2 weeks.

Thanks for the excellent company, I had a bloody BALL!

Thanks Pete and Doug for a great weekend. Covered all the bases, sitting at Tidal River having an ice cream in 40 deg to 24 hours later having a hot chocolate at Noojee. My waterproof pants worked as well, every time I put them on today, it stopped raining, I took them off, and it started to rain. All good fun. Try and find some photos now. Cheers.

Pure Gippsland: Rolling green hills, Stinking Hot. We were long overdue for some nice weather, and it was delivered.



Grand Ridge Road, which we criss crossed a few times on our journey.



I would have been happy to declare myself lost and stay under the shade for the afternoon.

Some delightful double track was on the menu. Slippery, wet in places and lots of spoon drains on the descent.



Eventually leading into the township of Toora. Which has a wind farm up on the hills.



The views of the coast were awesome, there was no wind the sea was flat as a pancake. Yet the blades of the turbines were spinning away merrily.



The Bank had closed by the time we rolled into town.



Thankfully there was a pub!!

Sunday morning was a cracker.


The locals were friendly and inquisitive too


A quick run up to Agnes Falls



Before heading to the coast. Toora Boatramp.





Destination was Wilsons Prom. So we poked our noses into all the small inlets on route.

It was my first visit to Wilsons Prom, beautiful scenery. Busy place though!







After visiting Wilsons Prom, we sought solace at Sandy Point beach.

The breeze was getting up, and it was warm. Very pleasant to soak up the atmoshphere.

Ainsley Falls near Mt Worth.



You could stop and take photos all the time, great scenery.



Lovely spot, probably Morwell River Rd, it's just a blur.




Agnes Falls.




The look of concentration on Pete's face was interesting, he knew what was ahead.




This track was ahead, Dingo Creek Track I think. We went down it, going up would have been worse. Apparently Ant likes this track.



Wilson's Prom was nice, but very busy as previously mentioned. Good scenery though.




A couple of these made life interesting coming home Sunday, of course we turned around and did not past the road closed signs.






Breakfast/morning tea at Boolara. Note magic pants on the seat, every time I put them on it stopped raining, unfortunately the the opposite when I took them off.
