You know you're in the country when...
...it's Sunday, a warm-to-hot day, the Xmas shopping is on...and the good, old gumboots are out!
Which means, hobbits are just hiding in the roadside bushes.

A Drizzer, an XT and "there'll always be one of those" DR's.

Chuck in a glorious mid-20C's, blue-skied-with-white-puffy-cloud-day and Melbourne's East showed itself in all it's green+ lush glory.

Thanks for a great ride today Pete, not a lot of distance (around 160k), but excellent scenery and roads. Was a little bit dusty, but we just stayed apart and no issues. Good to catch up again Doug.
A few from me.

The zippers stayed done up all day. You are a better (cooler) man than me Doug.

These LED headlights make the bikes a lot easier to see.

Four Brothers Rocks.

Great views.

Just past the 7 Acre Rock lookout, no one was too interested in a 45 min walk to the lookout.

It would have been a bit hazy anyway. That's my excuse anyway.

Tbh, I never thought they'd make such a difference to getting seen, on the road or in the bush.
Yesterday was the best example with a bright day and that scattered sunlight all over the bush tracks...or even the wide open powerline track where one couldn't make out a bike in the far distance and the leafy background, but those headlights....yup!

That white light hardly ever "blends" in anywhere, even with direct sunlight behind it, it still draws attention.

Even if it would fail to be an improvement on the factory lights in terms of illumination, it's still worth changing to LED for the warning factor.
Waiting for the replacement globes for the XT now...

Methinks you (and the Hima) would've loved this....nice, easy pace, too and plenty of time for lunchtime chats and some photo stops, too.
