Looks like a good weekend coming up after some rainy days.
Leaving the Sat for things to dry out a bit.
It'll be a little later start and an early-ish return (due to our current home @ hospital-mode).
Was planning on some slow exploration/ fotos etc, possibly taking Goodie's little 250.
Count on mud, crud and U-turns.

Details to follow if there's interest.

Thanks all for coming along....some nice "poking around the backblocks", loads of pretty good and smooth dirt....and leaving the best for last while dodging the blackbellies all day. :eye-popping:

Rain drumming the roof, the small morning hours didn't hold much promise.
Improvement was very slow...but sort of constant.

Melbourne...somewhere below the thunderheads....from Burke's Lookout.

Thanks for an excellent ride today Pete, and Tim C and Ant for the company.

Morning comfort stop, these seem to becoming more frequent.

I am sure there is a story about this sculpture on Beenak Rd, but in the meantime, WTF.

All in all, a good day, weather turned out ok after a suspect start. Thanks again guys. Cheers Ian

The route was quite interesting. Only about 180ks, but very enjoyable, even the log jumping :)

Great day but very chilly in the morning and especially up in the hills! Roads were damp but firm, some nice red clay that Tim had some fun with at times. The new Shinkos on the DRZ were great in these conditions.

Lunch break! As usual I hadn't read the thread properly so had to rely on Squizz for food..

The Yarra Ranges are littered with nice places with views and/or picnic tables and you guys select an intersection to stop and have lunch in the middle of? I guess it is some sort of macho ADV thing that I am not aware of.
