Another overcast and foggy-up-top morning with sun and blue skies to follow.
The "long way around" from Bruthen to Marlo at the Snowy River mouth for the night.

The full length of the Engineers Road and Brookville into the back of Swifts Creek, then some gorgeous single-laners from Swifts Creek to south of Ensay , before tucking into the bush again near Reedy Flat,
scooting past Mt. Elizabeth and Timbarra for Buchan South.

First of a string of "soul-burner lunch spots".

Byo munchies and drink.... and just gape at the surrounds.
Reedy Flat, up in the hills just south of Ensay.

With the Buchan-Orbost road being rather well-paved roadie-fare nowadays, it still has its perks... particularly when there isn't another soul around for the entire 55km length! :2thumbs-up:

Fuel up in Orbost, then a slow dawdle along the banks of the slow and wide Snowy River to Marlo after ~280k's for the day

A bit of mist off the water at Bruthen in the morning. Lovely spot behind the caravan park.

I am glad Pete and Marty knew where they were going. I spent some time putting all the gpx files on my old Garmin GPS, then it crapped itself after a couple of days. Good grief.

This is usually prefaced by "this isn't what it looks like", it was just a key that wouldn't lock the bloody door, at least that what they told the police.

Another lovely sunset.

I'm last cab off the rank here...

But got up early for a quick run while the sun rose.

Then onto Engineers Road

A familiar sight, Marty disappearing into the distance at some pace

Oops! Side stand in soft earth, classic Ant. Note the damage to the bash plate that somehow I still didn't notice at the time.
