Berlin or Dust - we did it again

As said before from Marlow we had to hurry on the Autobahn to get to the Hotel "Am alten Hafen" in Wismar. A nice place to stay between harbour and old city center with a private parking area. For dinner I can highly recommend the "Restaurant Oberdeck" in the harbour area. You have to enter the first floor, don't stop in the takeaway in the basement.

As probably in every harbour town new expensive apartments and offices are established in the harbour.

On the last day we had to start early to drive southbound to our trailers. We stayed on tarmac but we could avoid the main roads.



We had a break in Wittstock and went to cake nurse "Tortenschwester" a former nurse now runs a café where she serves medicine for body and soul as the sign says.



Nearly at the end of our tour we passed through an area where they are growing asparagus. It was the time after harvesting the sprouts when they let the plants shoot and strenghten for the next season.




Then we had our last break in Ketzin where you have the chance to cross the river Havel by ferry. Just beside the ferry is a nice restaurant.

Never heard of Wittstock,

Well, it was new to me as well. Up until now I saw the signs and passed by. But it seems it's worth another visit to have a walk.
