With the Spenser Gulf Ferry cancelled, the only option was to ride around the gulf.
That wasn’t so bad apart from the howling wind.
Next stop was Clare.

The main street of Clare on a Saturday morning.

The campground had this large open but undercover area. And the fire was provided. Nice touch!

Broken Hill, which is now fixed….Only took 1 night too,

I know it doesn’t look fixed, but it is!

Looks like without the mine, Broken Hill wouldn’t exist at all.

But there was a cracking pub.

The Theatre Royal looked like it may have been a victim of the Covid era.

One side is the town, other side is the mine.

The wall of people that were killed in the course of their employment!

Shocking really!

There was a Club of Vintage cars doing a lap of NSW. They were from Victoria. Cool to see.

The streets weren’t exactly packed in the evening either.

Broken Hill we toured to Cobar. Last time I was in Cobar was the V strom gathering in 2008.
The roads are FULL of Goats, Emus, and the occasional Cattle.

We were getting closer to the last shared night of the trip. After Cobar, I headed South, and me mate was headed for Brisbane.

They just don’t build em like this anymore. We were compelled to go in just for a look!

Next minute it was dark, and it was like my legs had been tasered.

Another great Mining town. Sunday night and the place was rocking!

I took this pic to assist me in returning to the Motel. My confidence in getting lost was quite high at this point.

But then our Motel appeared through the fog. Last nights on the road should end up like this.

My last night was at Jerilderie,

I was tucking into my last roadhouse meal of the trip when I took this snap.

A lot of reflection at this point. Heaps of admiration for this little bike. Had Zero mechanical issues, started with a stab of the button every time.
Zero oil consumption. We totalled about 1300 km of dirt roads on the trip and the rest was tarmac. ( Of varying quality)
It wasn’t as economical as the 2 cyl BMW 800, but it wasn’t far away either.
Fuel consumption varies a lot depending on load and wind.
But we had a ball. Got a taste of the Outback and the freedom of daily camping and answering to no one.

Here’s the Garmin Mini 2 Psychograph of the route taken

Still a lot of uncharted stuff out here eh!
