[South of Wollombi got to the Wisemans Ferry turn off at around 5:00pm, sign said 35km of gravel road,

Hehhh? The road from Central Mangrove along the river bank to Wisemans
Ferry has been sealed for at least 20 years....it's one of the usual cruiser/ Ulyssees laps of the locals.
Do a google street-view on this http://goo.gl/maps/TwwHM

Good yarn...sweet pics :clap::clap:

And from Google Streetview, this more like I remember:

Ooh, I did that road on the Humble VTR last year. Very slowly. The section that hugs the Hawkesbury(?) River is absolutely beautiful.

Thursday 25 April

Today was something like this:

Avoided freeways and highway as much as possible. Lots of B and C roads, little towns I'd never travelled before. We sure have some nice country out there .........

Was tempted to go down Elliot Way to check out the corner where Glitch tried to rum me off-the-road back on AusTouring Aussie Day weekender a few years back, but wasn't sure the CB road train could make it back up the hill.

Overnight at the Mountain View Hotel at Corryong, the seaford parma, and their house red are as good as ever. Anyone ready for a parma ride again???

Today's distance = 476km

Friday 26 April

Today's route:

Roads and locales familiar to most AusTourers. But the Rose River Road is worth a mention, even though it was a handful with the trailer.

Overnight with some friends at Howqua.

Today's distance = 332km

Saturday 27 April

I'm tired, I think I'll go home now ...........

Today's route:

Today's distance = 207km

Total Trip distance = 5,360km

Only 10 months left to plan next year's May-on-a-bike!!! And that's after I plan Half-a-March-Touring-Tassie-on-a-bike-with-a-camper ..........

What's that I hear?

Yes dear, coming dear, no I'm not planning anything!!!

Oh, shyte - see yuse all later, much later.

For a quick cholesterol-death? Put away the weed...have a parma instead?

Hell...it sure would be!!
But it certainly is a nice stretch to ride.

And then proceeds to take the long way around :so:so
Man, what a bumble that turned out to be...and yeah, there's some stunning countryside around if one gets off the main roads and arteries. It's a great place!!

Thanks for that mega-yarn, it's been great to be "taken for the ride" .
