The #1 Yamaha is a bit before my time. I can't think of any british riders from that era. Is that Kenny Robert's bike ?

Barry Sheene was very popular in England he retired your way as the climate was better for all his racing accidents, he had a lot of metal in his body.

Yeah, he came to Australia just as GP racing was becoming popular with success of Gardner and Doohan and commercial television picking up the live broadcasts of each round. He got the gig of commentating alongside the worlds worst commentator who had no racing history but owned a Harley so the network gave him the gig. Sheene was very popular here (maybe because the other dipshit made him sound so good).

they don't have good bikes our music but seem to appreciate ours you would think it would hurt them :lol:
