No doubt, a good time was had by all.

What else could follow after a kick-off like that? Monbulk and "The Valley" from above.

First look at the Wolfman "Piccolos"... the perfect size for a lunch pack of sandwich & a tinny....or the eco-wise traveller with a pair of jox and Visa Card

Typical Grand Ridge Road views...if you're lucky to find a break in the dense bush.

Well...what else you do in a brewery!

The First-T Motel at Mirboo's Golf course is a good recommendation, the place is clean, friendly, very reasonably priced and spacious, has all mod-cons and had some golfers staying for the weekend that weren't afraid to take-the-piss out of a bunch of "bikers"....good fun! Being well off the main road, it's also pretty quiet and only sprouts the wildlife that calls the sourrounding Golf Course its home.

A crisp morning at the 5th green

After the muddy and slow stuff the day before, the quickly changed route for the Sunday saw us tacking south towards Wilson's Prom.

TasteGippy_027.JPG

It sure was nippy....but the sun was out and promising a sparkler.
Funny how things can change from sloppy wet to dusty within a few meters, with nothing in between.
Hey, no more entrance fees at the Prom....but boy, it shows on the road into Tidal River. It's nearly as badly chopped up as the Mt. Lindsay Hwy in southern Qld.
Enjoying it!

No!!....not dressed to knock-over the lolly-shop at Tidal River, just trying to keep warm....."multi-layered" Ant.

Looks like they glue the hills together around here.

All of a sudden everything dissolved after the stop at the Bunyip Bakery, which also locked the door after us....Vivek went off to chase a rice-cooker in a place called Koo-Wee-Rup....Crusty had to check out something in Pakenham but miraculously joined us again for a bit in the Mt. Dandenong backblocks, Fuzzy and Ant took the Fwy for their "long-haul" into the northern + western suburbs.

A big thanks to everyone, the bunch of locals making us welcome, the manager of the little Golf Club Motel and the bunch of golfers.....and the fellow upstairs who switched on some sunshine for us, which burned in that endlessly lush, fat GREEN of Gippsland.
