Not quite. There is a stop go lady at the start of the bridge who will not let them ride across. Believe me you would not tangle with her. I have seen riders try in previous years. In the past there have been numerous injuries up to and including hospitalisation with bike wheels falling into the cracks.
On the other wooden bridge closer to Omeo they put a strip of matting across the left side but as the stop at Anglers Rest is compulsory for riders anyway they just make them walk across to restart.
