Went through the ring of steel on Burwood Highway in FTG for the second consecutive weekend earlier today.
It is amazing how many cars do U turns before they get to the checkpoint. It is also amazing that given that fact they are still only actually checking about a quarter of the vehicles passing the checkpoint. |

Went through the ring of steel this morning at coldstream. No license check, just said I was going to Healesville. Seemed pretty laid back. I was in the ute though, might have been different if I was loaded up with camping gear on the bike. Maybe next time

A first, careful step back into the eastern backblocks, using the 25k radius allowed by current CoVid restrictions.
Sorta.... A quick nip up some Mt. Dandenong side-tracks.... Quiet and hidden...some Menzies Creek greenery, what a speccy, little place! Loads of shady green stuff along the burbling creek... Just...pretty!

Kurth Kiln...the dusty way
Shepherds Creek Rd. was sweet and totally deserted... The "no-through" bit of Carters Lane put the final coat of dust on bike, gear, camera, boots, visor etc Man, I LOVE those gritty bits between my teeth again! A big thanks to K1W1 for the call and the slow tootle through the backblocks!

Yep. Cruisy day. Even got time in the afternoon to go through the ring of steel checkpoint again for the third time without being stopped. Joke really.
My sort of riding really ![]() We followed the rules and kept the bikes apart and kept our distance from them ![]() Overlooking Gladysdale ![]() and some random who kept following be wishing he owned a Triumph. ![]() ![]() Great day. Thanks for the company and some of the roads. |
