Default Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Rideday .....

Now that I'm only working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, the last day of the work week is hereby re-named Rideday.

So last Rideday I went for a little tootle, around 280km around the north and west of Melbourne, and although at most of the ride I was within 80km from home, I did find some new roads, and I did find some new old buildings, and took some pics.

There is an 1877 Free Library with some later extensions.

An 1871 Church.

Another old Church.

A re-purposed Mechanics Institute.

An old pub.

Another re-purposed old building, this time the National Bank is now a cafe.

Another old Church. This one has a very recent glass and concrete add-on at the front. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, what were they thinking??? What a travisty, putting THAT on the front of a 150 year old building. I give the Church another 150 years, the extension 20. Where is Hertiage Victoria when needed?

At least this one was spared the vandalism.

This, according to the Roman numerals, is from 1921.

This was a surprised, road dropped from around 420m to 260m over approx. 1.1km, and through some curves and switchbacks.

Last stop for the day was in front of another old building, this one from 1859, still in its original use and very busy on this Friday, let's just say it's a place where some people go when they get caught.

Many of you will these locations, some will not. Let's see how you go nominating.

It looks to me like you are trying to post photos hosted by Google and not using the correct links.

Not sure what that means either.

Regardless, had one of Helen's neices over for dinner a week or two back. She (the neice) is working for Michael's (camera store) in Melbourne, and was saying they still sell and develop camera film on the city store premises. Who'd have thunk that?

I might just dig out the old 35mm Pentax, get a slide film, and have a slide night.
