Some little side-tracks to get us onto the ridges above Falls Creek for some stunning Alpine views...
The run into Mt. Beauty is sweet...again, very little traffic and no liquefying road surface through the corners, the last re-seal seems to have finally, hopefully, put an end to that.
Across to Myrtleford, stuffing our faces at Heiner’s Bakery.
Traffic finally drops after the dam-wall at Lake Buffalo for the hop across the ridge into a packed-out Gentle Annie.
Some major work was done on that route, it’s all pretty smooth apart from the coarse gravel on the climb from the lake... which shows up the need for a long overdue new front hoop.
Easy sailing near Black Range Creek
Whitfield Pub has turned the full-bullshit "Wannabe-Designer-Retreat”... and in hindsight we should’ve traded the piddly, snack-sized $20 Wagyu-Burger with a thimble of overcooked “organic” chips for a couple more of those :
Vitamin B still rules over Omega3/6/whogivesashit and the stale MKR-touch of a tiny mint leaf on the seven dead-as-doornail-chips is getting pretty boring.
One good thing is the selection of on-tap beers though!!
THAT is the only real improvement...and the Café opposite still has REAL food at REAL prices.
There’s always the little country-pub in Moyhu down the road, too...gotta run, the mozzies are after my blood... vicious buggers, here in the King Valley!!
