75,000 word Ride Report - I'll let you know how I go, in the meantime an extract from Page 15:

..... A glorious three-mile stretch of macadamized road out of Atlantic City was indeed a tempting bait, and I admit for a few luscious but brief moments I set at defiance all limits of speedimposed for the general welfare of the public by worthy law-makers upon the motoring population of New York State.....

Hoons in 1919 .......

I LOVE that sentance. even 100 yrs ago there were (insert derogative remarks) fun police dictating "safe" limits....good on you chap for riding to the conditions and enjoying the freedom that motorcycling can offer

And here's another very worthwhile read (and LOTS shorter )

A local boy from Canberra on an old MZ ETZ250 stroker riding from Vladivostok to London in 4 weeks.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=998428

Now, THERE'S a bike for a RTW trip ...and for Veom to hone his home-tinkering skills on.
Then put it on the road on club-plates for sub$100/ year!

Anyway...exceptional yarn!
