Day 5 (Fri)

something I still cant comprehend, the group wanted a rest day.. I wanted to ride, so I did.

I wise man once said to me, if you want to ride the best motorcycle roads in the world, head to the Dolomites in Italy, it has the biggest concentration of mountain pass roads of anywhere.

In 2009 I found that out and today I confirmed it...

300km and 9 Mountain passes, much rubber sacrifices to the road gods and way too many baby Jesus's....

It's simply amazing over here..

Day 6 (Sat)

the day started with 'oh shit, Saturday Dolomite traffic' and ended pretty bloody good

did the famous Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and Passo di Sellajoch loop.. so famous, every Porsche and his dog was out today

only 160km, but that took most of the day, its a hard slog

the real gem of the day was SP64, a road that ran back towards Bolzano on the east side of the valley, filtered light though the trees one moment, view of the Dolimites the next and then looking over the valley back towards Collalbo, simply bliss

Back into Austria and found a real Gem, the Kuhtia high road.. Just magic, no traffic, twisty bits and magical scenery.

Great day

Absolutely slobbering over those pics!!

I'd call it incredible luck to have had that snow-dusting up high early in your stay....to revel in those magic vistas with snowy mountains and blue skies while running on dry, clear roads

You lucky Basterd!

As for the Kuehtai? 2009 was a decade ago, but you've done it before
Day 1 (onroad) of the T_2 :-)
