Made the decision during the week to have a crack at Jeffrey's track, a 4wd through way from Crabtree to Lachlan.

As I needed fuel and the Brighton Transport Hub is just around the corner I headed there first. The fuel station has 95 octane cheaper than the fuel docket price at the servo.
Another train loading up for the trip to Burnie
My plan was to do a clockwise loop, and the road choice to get to the Huon Valley was via Fern Tree and Longley
Quick stop at the Rosehaven Tavern, aka the Longley Hotel
Collin's Bonnet, also known as the Sleeping Beauty was peeking out of the cloud along Crabtree rd
Getting close
Sound good
This is after the first few hundred metres of rocky uphill section. first gear set and hang on whilst the Husky tractors up
Nice little pockets as the climb continues through the forest
I believe this is the junction of White Timber Trail
At the junction of Jeffrey's and the East West Trail was a pocket of native berries
At the start of the downhill section, this steep, loose rough bit for about 100m has me slip sliding down
Now the boghole section starts. I can imagine how much water these would hold in the winter. Thankfully not too wet but still a bit. As I was approaching a hiker heading the other way the back slipped out and down I go. Of course, had to be the only time to drop it with a witness!
She headed on her way and I picked up the bike. Damage toll, bent gear lever, but ok to carry on without needing repair
I think I need to upgrade from the OEM tyres now...
The track improves and winds down through gum forest and past pine plantation
As I descend into the Lachlan Valley, the temperature climbs to about 30 degrees
End of the Track
Just after I took this a ute pulled up and the bloke asked if I was ok. Yes, thanks mate!
Home for a wash
Only the one drop, pretty tiring ride, I think I'll be a bit sore in the morning!
