We were really enjoying the crisp mountain air, and the views too! Awesome.

Only beaten by that DB Double Brown we had as a welcome-freebie at the Taihape Motel.
The can it came it had more taste than the contents....perfect for watering that plastic office cactus.
Who ever drinks that crap...deserves it. Who ever makes it, should drown in their own shit.

We could see the clouds rolling in, but set off for the ( Napier,Taihape Rd) I pranged my Ford Escort on this road back in about 1981





This valley was stunning to see. The weather, the scenery, all made it so special.



And the little DR was lapping up the asphalt too. I mean look at these roads.. And the weather was closing in fast.



We stopped for a look at the Springvale Suspension Bridge.



And the new one right next to it.
