Thanks for the laughs and a great day out.
Plenty of hidey-hide by sun+blue_skies, but still a good ride through the backblocks.

A bit of everything.... empty roads, some road-checking, some mud, some rocks, some walking, a sort-of-waterfall, some surprisingly smooth forestry tracks, awesome vistas, a nearly deserted Yea, lots of ridges and laughs galore.

Thanks guys :lao

Yes, good day out. Thanks Pete, Doug and Eivind. When I recover from the "walk of the damned", I will see if I have photos worth posting. Everything after late morning was a bit blurry! And the DRz did actually use some petrol today Doug, 9.5 litres for the 275k.

Few shots from me.

First regroup of the day, blowing a gale, we think it is going to rain.

Yea Spur, I still think it is going to rain.

Tip of the day for me, dont take a panorama shot when someone is moving in the background, or is that Pete's doppleganger?

Murchison Gap lookout, three hardy adventurers discussing how do we get home from here, I just followed along with the crowd.

This is where we went, group split up at Strathewen, Pete had a devious route back to Yarra Glen taking in as many dirt roads as he could (standard procedure).

Thanks for a good day guys, I reckon it would have been a bit more slippery today.

It certainly was a moody grey old day... that's what made it so great.

Bowden Spur in the centre of the pic, hard to imagine that fateful day back in 2009, that the ridge line was totally ablaze...

Bright for lunch was the highlight...especially when "Bright" looked a lot like Yea...:clap::clap:

Re: Sat 27/5...Colour-Shots

Took the Whanregarwen Road from the Goulburn Valley Highway to Maroondah Highway, the autumn colours are still fantastic in that area. I didn't take any pics, if you go that way, get some for me.

Not much good on the "colours" here, either...there just wasn't enough sunlight to "make it burn". It all looked somewhat dull + flat due to the cloud-cover.

Few shots from me.
Pete's doppleganger?
....I reckon it would have been a bit more slippery today.

Some neat shots there!
You've gotta show me that "doppleganger"-trick...awesome :eek::clap:
Agree on the "slippery"comment...did it HAMMER down during the night or what?
Captains Creek definitely would've been out... and quite a bit of the other stuff would've involved a fair bit of tip-toeing today, if not worse.

It certainly was a moody grey old day... that's what made it so great.

Too right!
And Willo must've been kicking some butt since being back in the country ...I've never seen Horans Track as smooth, clean and quick as yesterday.:chug:

Nice pics there....and bummer Eivind couldn't get the drone up with all the wind we had...it would've made for some spectacular shots considering the skies we had.
