You guys covered quite a loop there...ands seemed to have had a real potpourri of weather conditions along the route. Snow to sunshine and some dry roads...a typical NI spring Sunday?

How do things look after all the flooding a few weeks ago? There seemed to be some fairly severe destruction and damage down the Whanganui.
Thanks for the post and pics, it's alkways great to see some of your part of the world :gday:

Quite a bit of damage around Wanganui but I haven't been over that way for a while. Was on Turakina Valley road and a few off it on Sunday and plenty of slip evidence.

Blog to come...

North Ridge again, aye? :thumbs::thumbs:
You're giving me a nervous tick with this bloody thing!!
One of those days it'll be an NZ trip just for that.
And yeah, tack on the Watershed, too!!
Looks like we missed a good one after the Turakina Vly Rd, turning into Ruanui to SH1/ Taihape.

Happy to see all the sunshine and the ever-deserted roads over there.:glu

Turakina Valley Road is fantastic and you can ride it all the way up to Tangiwai. There are sealed sections in places but the gravel bits make up for it and are generally in good nick.

North Ridge is always worth a visit, fantastic views. Been on it when there was a foot of snow in places once too.
