Default 2015_ Mt. Dandy Steeps #2

Mid June

And just because there were a few outstanding stretches left after the last one....the hairpin-tango in Upwey started things off nicely.

Great day out, no words needed.

Default 2015_Dalyston, Gippsland

Late June...and things were certainly turning from autumn into winter.
The OpenRoaders lunch in Dalyston (near Wonthaggi) was promising one more ride, trying to dodge the forecast rain.

Picking some gravel while staying out of the mud, things turned into a little "voyage-of-discovery" of a multitude of roads and tracks along the way.

From Nyora's "Table-Mountain" to the old South Gippy Railway Line...

...to plowing sideways through a pond of fresh cow-shyte...

...a bloody good day was had. Not to forget the lunch-of-laughs with the OpenRoaders crowd

Default 2015_Winter Sparkle

Mid July
and the rain has buggered off for a day, time for some more of the annual, local "road-finding project".

Mission accomplished

Default 2015_Willo + The Flying Tarts

Late July...
....and a wet morning turning into a ripper of a day before turning icy and wet again. The Kinglake Ridge delivering its usual....hail and howling gusts, freezing temps and "Flying Tarts".
Found yet another few bits of road previously untouched.

All of it here!

Default 2015_Rob Roy Hill Climb tootle

Mid August....and an average winter's morning tuns into castor-oil, wooden wheels and a howling Vincent.
The hills to Melbourne's North have come alive.
