Hi everyone,

Had the pleasure of an upgrade on a recent trip to NZ, needless to say, if I didn't have the pic's I wouldn't remember that it happened!

But it wasn't all play, we had to make a dent in to the bottle of Ardberg, that I'd picked up from duty free. Driving into Jim's driveway, to complete the task at hand.

Next morning we was hungry... the White Lady Burger Cart was parked at an all too familiar place...

Yes you guessed it...

So after a satisfactory quaffing it was off to Yamaha HQ for a T700 Party.

An MC to extoll the virtues of this new machine.

Stephen Gall, and other notable Motocross legends were there.

I had a plane to catch, so it was off to the Airport again..

Thankfully the weather was good.

And we only had to circle out at sea for 40 mins before landing.

I needed some light refreshments after all that.

Satisfactory and settled we were off to watch the All Blacks v the Wallabies and dinner to boot.
No one was here, they thought the Wallabies might win again...ha!

And next day I had a bike to pick up.

Not really sure of what is on offer, I knew of a V7, but the tyre was flat..

Bring this around and we'll put some air in.

Not being one to argue!

In typical NZ fashion, the weather has changed. However still got in an hour or so on the Red and White bus.

There is a snow capped mountain behind the clouds.

Fairly lush and green around here.

A peek of the sea in the distance, SH 45 the coastal surf highway runs down this coastline.

The cloud covered mountain provided a nice background for the little red bus!

OMG, feast your eyes on the costs...

A loop back towards New Plymouth, stopping to admire the views.

Hope you've enjoyed a few snaps of my travels!

Snow capped mountain, country lanes through a tunnel of trees, New Plymouth coastal views, methinks that was Mount Taranaki in the background in pic 1. Then again, could be anywhere within a 200km of New Plymouth.

Two NZ trips for Doug in one year, must be making some serious money at work these days.

Post more pics please Doug.

Read elsewhere that the T700 launch in Wellington was a major-waffle-and-go-to-sleep affair.... folks left before the actual unveiling. W-)

Snow-capped mountains sounds bloody great
