I met up with three of the usual suspects this morning at 10 & we headed out into our habitual playground of the Morvan regional parc. No pics I'm afraid cos I was having too much fun & I wasn't leading. It also all went a bit quick for pics as the other three all ride FJR1300,s & as I didn't get time to sabotage their bikes beforehand  I was a bit pushed to keep up...

I have developed a technique which I managed to scare the shit out of one of them with, it involves getting right up close behind him in the tight bits, sitting in his blind spot & doing a sort of kamikaze "slingshot" manouvre round the outside of him coming out of a corner :looney:, he didn't appreciate being overtaken round the outside by a 23yr old 600 Transalp:eek: and I don't suppose he'll let it happen again but hey, he's gonna take a while to live it down...

one of our fave roads we actually managed to do twice by navigating a bit of a figure 8 route, & the 2nd time, it being the first really sunny week end of the season, there were bikes bloody everywhere & it wasn't long before they started falling over/ off / into the ditches etc. I think we saw a couple of smashed bikes & I stopped to check on a bloke who was in the ditch with, i think, a broken leg, probably concussion & a very very mangled bike  He was conscious, being well looked after by his mates & a car driver wh'd seen him come off & the ambulance was on its way so we left them to it & moved on.:poo:

We did around 300k between Auxerre, Clamecy, Chateau chinon, Planchez, les Settons, Autun, Chateau Chinon (again), planchez (again), Dun les places, Quarré les Tombes, Vezelay, Chatel Censoir et Auxerre.

Hey Moon... looking forward to some ride reports too.... I'm looking at coming over next year about Aug/Sep with a mate who has a cousin in SW Switzerland corner.
Any Photos and ride ideas for that area I would love to see :)

Hey, hey...finally catching up on some of the posts...good to see you've finally got some weather fine enough to roll the bikes out.
Wishing you a long and warm/ dry summer after the last 2 or 3 mostly washed-out ones.

Just take your mates for a loop of the Gorges du Nans and the rest of the Vercors. It'll be clear skies in the mirrors for you...all day long :so
