The plan was to meet the Myrtleford/Bright Crew at Jamieson on the morning of Jan 3rd.

After a coffee and a snack we were ready to head off.

Some stunning views on a near perfect day!

We took a track over Mt Selma and headed down through Aberfeldy and on to some views of the Thompson catchment area.

We were heading for Yarram via a bunch of super scenic and twisty roads.

Just perfect really!

After a gentle tootle through the Tarra Valley, we arrived at Yarram in time for happy hour. Things were really looking up because the Bottlo was in viewing distance from our Motel room!

Next morning was an early breakfast at the local Bakery, and we set off retracing our steps through the Tarra Valley, eventually linking onto the Grand Ridge Road

We even got a bit lost..

And ended up some single Track, which was fun until it narrowed and got a bit steep.

Thats all the pics from me as I had to depart and head back to Melbourne.
It sure was a fun ride though!
Thanks to Tim for organising this one.

Adding to Doug's story....

It was already stinker hot when I met Mr Fish in Myrtle.

Who woulda ever thought a 1150GSA would be a small bike :bs

A fast blast up the bitumen to Tolmie before more back roads led us to Doug at Jamieson.

We cut across towards the Thompson Dam.

Doug was getting twitchy about the thought of missing happy hour at pub so we took the bitumen from Thompson Dam to Rawson to Tyers and Traralgon before starting the climb towards the Grand Ridge Road.

A bitumen run down Tara Valley Rd and into Yarram for the night.

Highly recommend the Commercial Hotel in Yarram $60 a night motel units (which sport authentic early 1960s bedding and décor), super friendly staff, a happy hour that keeps even Doug smiling and good food (when it eventually arrives).

Consult Mr Fish's GPS and follow the suggested route.

Swear at Mr Fish's GPS. Stop at first opening. U-turn. :killingme

We made bitumen at Boolara then raced to the Mirboo North bakery to see if the best items were still kept on the bottom shelf.
