Your Super Tenere has good headlights? Did you only try them while the sun was out? My experience of the headlights on my SuperTen are they they are diabolically poor compared to just about every other bike I have ever owned. About 80-100watts of LEDs can fix it.

Only ridden a short distance in the dark so far but thought that the lights weren't too bad.
